Jade's Classroom

Jade Qian was born in Shanghai, moved to Beijing at age 12, and came to the United States at age 18 to pursue her education. She has a BA from Boston University and now lives in the Boston area. She began teaching Mandarin to her two young daughters. Other children were interested and during three short years she went from teaching four students to well over 100 (and growing) in a thriving Chinese language program.

This explosive growth is a result of Jade’s uniquely playful and charming teaching style, and the ease at which she moves from Chinese to American culture and back. Now, the benefits of Jade’s unique teaching style and proven methods are available not just in her classroom, but in your home as well, through this colorful and lively video.

Follow Jade builds on what kids already know by incorporating Chinese words into already familiar songs, such as “Head, shoulders, knees, and toes”, “The itsy bitsy spider”, and several more.

Follow Jade to see today’s China, since it is the only video of its kind actually filmed and produced in China, with Chinese children and locations.

Follow Jade to learn greetings, numbers, farm animals, fruits, and more.

Follow Jade to make learning Chinese a fun and confidence building experience for you and your family.
